A carefully arranged counselling therapy room without any people, featuring a pair of soft, moss-green armchairs with textured fabric and rounded edges facing each other at a gentle angle. Between them sits a small, light-oak side table holding a simple glass of water and a smooth river stone. The space is surrounded by pale, warm white walls adorned with minimalist nature prints of forests and flowing water. Soft afternoon light filters through sheer curtains, casting gentle, diffused shadows. Photographic realism, shot at eye level with a shallow depth of field, creating a calm, inviting atmosphere that suggests empathy, acceptance, and space for reflection.

Find Your Growth

Inspired by nature, Core Elements Counselling offers a gentle space to explore resilience, self-understanding, and authentic growth at your own pace. You do not need to navigate the challenges of life alone.

Why you should choose Core Elements Counselling

A space to feel heard, understood and more like yourself again.
Person-centred counselling for adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to keep carrying everything on their own. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, be met without judgement, and explore what is going on at your own pace.

About Me

My name is Andrea and before becoming a counsellor, I spent over thirty years working in frontline healthcare services. This work brought me into contact with people from a wide range of backgrounds, each carrying their own stories, challenges and strengths.

Those years shaped me deeply; they taught me:

  • The importance of listening without judgement
  • The courage it takes to share your story
  • The resilience people show even in the hardest moments

Core Elements Counselling embraces empathy, acceptance and authenticity, helping you explore inner truths, grow resiliently, and reconnect with your best self.

How I work
A woman taking notes while a man talks in a therapy session

I believe many people lose connection with themselves after years of anxiety, people-pleasing, masking, emotional overwhelm, difficult relationships or simply trying to get through each day.
Counselling can offer a space to pause, feel heard and begin to understand what you need.
Together, we explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences without judgement or pressure. You do not need to arrive with the right words or have everything figured out before coming to counselling.
My role is not to fix you, but to be alongside you as you reconnect with your own voice, needs, identity and inner resources in a way that feels safe and meaningful for you.

Areas I commonly support clients with:

 Anxiety and emotional overwhelm
 Addiction and understanding yourself after survival
 Low self-worth and self-doubt
 People-pleasing and losing yourself in relationships
 Identity, purpose and feeling disconnected from yourself
 Neurodiversity and emotional understanding
 Relationship difficulties and communication challenges
 Life transitions, perimenopause, menopause and emotional change
 Feeling stuck, lost or unsure who you are anymore

A close-up scene of a small potted fern with delicate, vibrant green fronds, placed on a natural wood windowsill in a quiet counselling space. Outside the slightly blurred window, an abstract view of trees and sky suggests a peaceful natural environment. Soft, overcast daylight diffuses through the glass, highlighting the fern’s intricate leaves and the subtle grain of the wood. In the foreground, an open, blank notebook with a smooth cream page lies beside a simple pen and a single polished pebble. Photographic realism, with a shallow depth of field and rule-of-thirds composition, conveying growth, self-understanding, and gentle contemplation.
